This newsletter is free! If you wanna read new issues for no dollars, that is super chill and cool! If you’d like to get access to the back archive, and help keep me from having to get another job I’ll be very bad at, please consider kicking me a small monthly or yearly tip down below—every little bit makes an absolutely massive difference!
I’ve been trying to get back into yoga. My attempts so far included a near-death experience. I have continued. I’m stubborn.
I tend to “get into things” in two ways, both of which are a slow burn: in the first version, my slow burn starts off very hot. I do the thing full on, as fast as I can, at breakneck speed, for many days in a row. I do this until the wheels fall off whatever I’m doing: with running, I triggered an old planting injury—a sprained ankle in which there may have been some mutilated tendon or another, and which I planted on anyway for the remaining two months, and which never healed properly. Sometimes my fingers cramp from jewelry-making or beadwork. Sometimes I just run out of money.
